How to implement it

Before and after every milking, staff should complete the equipment control by checking all hoses for tears, checking for unwanted moisture or debris in clear hoses, making sure liners are not twisted, checking for plugged claw vents, turning on each milking unit and inserting fingers in liner to make sure the liner is opening and closing, recording system gauge vacuum and listening for irregular sounds and air leaks. If anything is not functioning properly, management should be notified immediately. All the aforementioned components will be organised in a checklist that will be pinned up on display in the parlour and will be accompanied by a seperate table on which gauge vacuum before and after each milking will be recorded, along with pottential issues that may require attention.
