• Supplying water to individual lambing pens is time consuming during the busy lambing period

• Individual drinking bowls are expensive

• Filling water buckets in individual pens is labour intensive and there is a risk of lambs drowning, spillage and ewes defecating in the water

• A water pipe (15 cm diameter) with holes cut in it for each pen:

• reduces labour

• reduces cost

• Supplies water to many pens from one source
