These are the minutes of the 3rd SheepNet transnational workshop held in Vitoria-Gasteiz (Spain) on the 13th & 14th June 2018.
Agenda for the 13th:
8:00 (+ 45 min drive by bus) Departure from Vitoria-Gasteiz by bus (Hotel General Alava)
8:45 1 hour and 15 min – Meat flock
11:00 2 hour – Cheese tasting
Semi-extensive (Latxa) sheep dairy flock + PDO Idiazabal on-farm cheese-making
15:00 – 18:00 “Virtual” tour to innovative case studies in Caballerizas
(videos + oral presentations) and visit to the facilities of Neiker:
– Shepherds school
– Artificial insemination centre
– Meat sheep in Spain
– Visit to the experimental flock of Neiker
