SRUC has become one of 7 partners involved in a brand new EU £2m euro network on sheep productivity – called SheepNet.

SheepNet – which stands for Sharing Expertise and Experience towards sheep Productivity through NETworking  – is an EU funded project led by Idele, the French livestock institute

Operated under the H2020 RUR-10-2016-2017 programme, it will run until October 2019.

The key individuals from SRUC involved in leading various activities with SheepNet are Prof. Cathy Dwyer, AVS; Dr Claire Morgan-Davies, FFS, Hill & Mountain Research Centre; and Kirsten Williams, SAC Consulting.

Dr Claire Morgan-Davies said: “This new network is really about farmers-driven innovation to improve sheep productivity. It will establish durable exchange of scientific and practical knowledge among researchers, farmers and advisors across Europe.”
