On this farm, all lambs are ear-tagged 2 days after birth and rubber bands are applied to the tail of females. These operations require to have numerous tools and hardware at hand : an electronic ID stick reader, a smartphone to record births, ear-tags, healing cream for ears, docking bands, ear-tag and band pliers. Therefore, the farmer has crafted an « ID-box » where all necessary equipment is arranged at hand and wedged so as not to move during transport and handling. The box is equipped with handles allowing to hang it on the gate of the lambing pen.
