Dr. Negrut is using a home-made sledge to weigh his animals for performance recordings in his small sheep flock and also to treat hoof related problems of his animals. This is a low-cost alternative to commercial available equipment and can be used by beginner farmers or by those who manage small sized flocks. Sheep when are put in the sledge they remain immobile for several minutes, allowing the farmer to trim their hoof when necessary.
