After finding stray electricity currents in the drinking troughs of the sheep shed, the farmer has decided to earth all of the drinking troughs. The impact on the drinking troughs use and on the amount of water drunk (measured with water meters) was immediate. A better hydration of the ewes contributes to a better health condition and consequently to better reproductive results and better lambs’ survival rate (particularly because of a better production of colostrum and milk).
